Turkey (Cappadocia) Hot Air Balloon: 7th October 2019
Cappadocia is famous for its unique geological features which are called fairy chimneys. The cone-shaped rock formations, stretching as tall as 40 meters into the sky, were created as a result of the geological process that began millions of years ago by the erosion of relatively soft volcanic ash.
Cave houses built into fairy chimneys by the prehistoric dwellings who carved out of the rock and cities dug out into underground. During the Roman era, the area was served as a shelter for the early escaping Christians as hideouts.
The fairy chimneys of Cappadocia is best to be seen from the air. If this is your first time to Cappadocia, I suggest you make an early reservation to take the Hot Air Balloon to enjoy the spectacular sunrise and incredible view of the rock formations from the sky.
